What is DynaCrop and how does it work?
DynaCrop is a satellite-powered solution that supports smarter decisions in precision agriculture. It offers daily updates on field conditions, crop growth forecasts, and weather outlooks – helping you stay ahead of risks like drought, waterlogging, or nitrogen loss.
With access to over 20 agronomic indices from radar, multispectral, and weather data (including historical records since 2018), DynaCrop delivers powerful insights into field variability and long-term trends.
It also helps optimize soil sampling, plan variable rate applications, and run field experiments – all adapted to your equipment and operations. Available through API or on demand.
What types of data sources does DynaCrop use?
Through the DynaCrop API, you can access data from three key satellite sources—Sentinel-1, Sentinel-2, and PlanetScope—along with integrated weather and terrain data for deeper context and analysis.
For more tailored needs, the DynaCrop team also supports on-demand data integration. Thanks to strong expertise in data science, we work with virtually any data source—from other satellite missions to IoT sensors or harvest data—to deliver exactly what your operations require.
What kind of insights can I get from DynaCrop?
DynaCrop gives you a clear, data-driven view of your fields by combining satellite, weather, and terrain data. It provides daily field health updates, crop growth stage forecasts, and highlights attention hotspots to guide timely decisions.
You’ll also get 14-day weather forecasts, variability analyses for variable-rate applications, and risk maps for drought, waterlogging, and nitrogen loss. Historical data since 2018 lets you track crop performance over time and assess yield stability.
DynaCrop also supports optimized soil sampling and on-farm experiments based on actual harvest and yield data. All insights are available via API or on demand, tailored to your crops, equipment, and needs.
Which crops are supported by DynaCrop?
DynaCrop supports a wide range of crops commonly grown in field and row farming systems. It works seamlessly with cereals like wheat, barley, oats, rye, and maize, as well as oilseeds such as rapeseed, sunflower, and soybean. The platform also provides valuable insights for legumes (peas, beans, lentils), root crops like potatoes and sugar beet, and even industrial crops such as cotton or tobacco.
Because DynaCrop is built on satellite, weather, and soil data rather than crop-specific sensors, it can be flexibly adapted to virtually any crop. Where needed, crop-specific calibrations and models can be added to provide even more tailored insights.
Does the service work in my country?
DynaCrop service is global, therefore, it works in all countries around the world.
How to start with DynaCrop?
DynaCrop delivers advanced analytics through two flexible channels: a powerful API and ready-to-use on-demand data.
To get started with the API, simply fill out a short registration form. You are asked to provide your name, email, organization and position. You will receive your API key instantly after the confirmation of your email.
For tailored solutions or custom data needs, feel free to reach out to our team directly at ervin@dynacrop.space — we’re happy to help.
How to integrate DynaCrop API in our software?
Before starting the integration, please download and read carefully our OpenAPI specification. To get tailored help with the integration, please ask for a free consultation at support@dynacrop.space
Do I have new data every day?
Not necessarily. While our service now includes PlanetScope data, which can provide daily imagery, the actual availability of new data still depends on weather and cloud conditions. Our system also continues to use open data from Sentinel-1 and Sentinel-2 satellites, which are typically updated about once a week during the growing season. As a result, you may not receive new data for each field every day, especially during periods of cloud cover or poor visibility.
What happens after our testing version expires?
When your 30-day trial is over, you will be offered to switch to one of our standard plans. If they don’t suit your use case, you can always request an individual plan tailored to your needs.
What kind of outputs and formats can we get?
We provide outputs in the following formats:
- GeoTIFF
- PNG
- Shapefile
- GeoJSON
- Map tiles
- JSON
